I suddenly love the 300m. Not slow, the engine is one of the best sounding V6s I’ve heard, and honestly that makes hellaflush look damn good. So ridiculously sleek. Reminds me of my Riviera except a hell of a lot more modern looking. I could do with a better paint job, though.

255hp from a 3.5 SOHC V6 is damned impressive though. Ford couldn’t match that with the SOHC 4.0 V6 in the Mustang.

This is why I do not fear a FWD next generation 300. The 300M was a very sexy car, but sadly people like to bag on it because it was a late 1990s, early 2000s Chrysler.

Sidenote: I like the Prowler and I think everyone who says it’s slow (particularly the 1999+ model) is an idiot

Also, Ford didn’t even match the HP of the Chrysler 3.5 with their SOHC 4.6L 2v V8 either.

From reviews I read and from what I’ve observed 1st hand... they’re good engines. Not quite as smooth/nice sounding as the Nissan V6 from the same time, but still very good. Some say it’s a bit noisier than it should be. But that could be down to the amount of sound deadening and exhaust tuning on the given model.
